Meeting was called to order at 6:16 p.m.
AGENDA:
January 2023 statistics and shelter update packet was received and reviewed. A packet with
2022 analysis was also received. The packets will be included in the meeting minutes.
Discussions were held:
• Meeting to evaluate dogs rescheduled to February 22nd at 4:00 p.m.
• Responsibility for labeling behavior of dogs. Color collars were explained.
• Community Day rescheduled for March 18th
• Make kennel capacity visible in overall metrics; keep live release/intake numbers.
• Goals for committee:
o Getting out in the community
o Helping with events
o Volunteering at shelter
o Advocating with City Council – ask Council members to come to meetings and to
the shelter
o Using connections

Next meeting was not set due to Spring Break.

-Action items from Mara Hartsell's presentation regarding long-term & aggressive dogs
December:
-Canine behavior meetings resumed (attendance, actions, progress)
-Community Pet Day event (scheduled?)
-Cat enrichment progress
-Progress on increase of large dog fosters
November:
-Managed intake
-Pet resource email and guide
-Owner support request form in SL and volunteer follow-up
-Volunteer e-learnings modules on case management and PASS procedures
-Pet support hotline
4. Discussion on future metrics to be included in Shelter Statistics Monthly Report
5. Discuss goals for Advisory Committee in 2023
