MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE December 16, 2019 The meeting of the Finance Committee was called to order by Gabe Allen December 16, 2019 at 4:05 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker St., League City, Texas. Present at the meeting were Nick Long, John VanDever, Jr., Paul Maaz, Traci Jacobs, Steve Burzinski, Chuck Howard, Zak Kone, Gabe Allen, Michelle Villarreal, Teresa McKenzie, Liz Lopresti, Rhonda Lee, Ann Williams, and Kristine Polian. Kristine Polian introduced Liz Lopresti, Purchasing Manager, to the Finance Committee. Approval of minutes from the November 18, 2019 Meeting John VanDever made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes and to approve the minutes as presented. Nick Long seconded the motion. The motion passed, all-in-favor. Citizen Comments There were no citizen comments. Discuss the GFOA CAFR Presentation Award Kristine Polian explained the GFCO CAFR Award to the committee. The award has been presented to the City Finance Department every year since 1978. This is the 41st consecutive award. Review of Municipal Advisory Services RFP Kristine Polian reviewed the Municipal Advisory Services RFP with an emphasis on pricing. Liz Lopresti went over the Revised RFP and the changes that were made at the behest of the Finance Committee. There were several questions and discussion ensued. Finance Committee would like to sit in the interview process. Consider and Take Action to Excuse Absences No Action Staff Comments No staff comments. Committee Member Comments Nick Long thanked staff for their hard work. Gabe Allen welcome Liz Lopresti, Purchasing Manager to the City. Adjournment Nick Long made a motion to adjourn.
