Meeting Minutes City of League City Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting, Monday, February 21, 2022 Council Chambers, 200 W. Walker Street, League City, TX 77573 Call to Order and Roll Call of Members Annette Ramirez, Vice Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Steven Barron, Gene Bindhammer, Paul Maaz, Annette Ramirez Pam Armold, Frank Dominguez Tedd Olkowski, Doug Turner City Staff: David Hoover, Executive Director of Development Services; Frankie Legaux, Assistant Director of Planning and Development; Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner; Janice Norman, Senior Planner; Matt Brown, Assistant City Engineer; Michelle Villareal, Deputy City Attormney Approval of minutes A. January 18, 2022 Mr. Maaz made a motion to approve the minutes. Ms. Arnold seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0-0. B. February 7, 2022 Mr. Maaz made a motion to approve the minutes. Ms. Arnold seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0-0. Citizen Communications There were no citizens that spoke. New Business A. Consider and take action on a Variance to Chapter 50 of the City of League City Code of Ordinance, entitled Floods to allow a residential remodeling and addition of an existing home at 1963 Emerald Point Ln., League City, Texas 77573, located in the FEMA Zone AE. Matthew Brown, Assistant City Engineer, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Bindhammer made a motion to approve the Variance to Chapter 50 of the City of League City Code of Ordinance, entitled Floods to allow a residential remodeling and addition of an existing home at 1963 Emerald Point Ln., League City, Texas 77573, located in the FEMA Zone AE. Mr. Maaz seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0-0.  Consider and take action on a Preliminary/Final Plat for Harris Hughes Reserve on South Egret Bay Boulevard (Plat-21-0062) generally located at the northwest corner of Abilene Street and South Egret Bay Boulevard (FM 270) with an address of 386 S. Egret Bay Boulevard (FM 270). Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Maaz made a motion to approve the Preliminary/Final Plat for Harris Hughes Reserve on South Egret Bay Boulevard (Plat-21-0062), per staffs recommendations. Mr. Bindhammer seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0-0. Consider and take action on a Preliminary/Final Plat for Pinnacle Park HOA Park (Plat- 21-0065) generally located along the west side of Brookport Drive, south of Big League Dreams Parkway with an address of 1420 Brookport Drive. Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Barron asked if this would be adjacent to the apartment complex. Mr. Carpenter responded that while it is not directly adjacent, there is an agreement that it will be maintained in perpetuity by the owners of the apartment complex. Mr. Maaz made a motion to approve the Preliminary/Final Plat for Pinnacle Park HOA Park (Plat-21-0065), per staffs recommendations. Mr. Bindhammer the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0-0. Staff Comments Staft had no comments.
