Meeting Minutes City of League City Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 Council Chambers, 200 W. Walker Street, League City, TX 77573 1. Call to Order and Roll Call of Members Paul Maaz, Vice Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Steven Barron, Paul Maaz, Pam Arnold, Tedd Olkowski, Ruth Morrison Absent: Frank Dominguez, Gene Bindhammer, City Staff: David Hoover, Executive Director of Development Services; Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner; Masood Malik, Senior Planner; Michelle Villareal, Deputy City Attorney 2. Approval of August 15, 2022, minutes Mr. Maaz asked if there were any corrections. He stated hearing none, the August 15, 2022, minutes are approved. 3. Citizen Communications No citizens spoke. 4. New Business A. Consider and take action on a Preliminary/Final Plat, Maple Leaf Drive Extension, Phase Four, (PLAT-21-0036), generally located north of Muldoon Parkway and east of McFarland Road. Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Maaz asked about future Right of Way for the Grand Parkway. David Hoover, Executive Director of Development Services explained the future plans of the Grand Parkway. Mr. Olkowski made a motion to approve the Preliminary/Final Plat, Maple Leaf Drive Extension, Phase Four, (PLAT-21-0036), per staff’s recommendations. Mr. Barron seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. B. Consider and take action on a Final Plat, Muldoon Parkway Street Dedication, Phase 1, (PLAT-21-0041), generally located south of the Grand Parkway and east of Maple Leaf Drive. Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Olkowski made a motion to approve the Final Plat, Muldoon Parkway Street Dedication, Phase 1, (PLAT-21-0041), per staff’s recommendations. Mr. Barron seconded the motion.  The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. C. Consider and take action on Final Plats, Westland Ranch, Section 1 (PLAT-21-0038) and Section 3, (PLAT-21-0039), generally located south of Muldoon Parkway and east of Maple Leaf Drive. Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Olkowski made a motion to approve the Final Plats, Westland Ranch, Section 1 (PLAT- 21-0038) and Section 3, (PLAT-21-0039), per staff’s recommendations. Mr. Barron seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. 5. Staff Comments Mark Linenschmidt stated that Annette Ramirez, Chair resigned as she no longer resides in the City and wanted to thank her for services and time on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mark Linenschmidt also informed the Commissioners that notices about reappointments will be forthcoming, and they are typically due back by the end of October.
