Meeting Minutes City of League City Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting, Monday, September 19, 2022 Council Chambers, 200 W. Walker Street, League City, TX 77573 1. Call to Order and Roll Call of Members Paul Maaz, Vice Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Steven Barron, Paul Maaz, Pam Arnold, Frank Dominguez, Ruth Morrison Absent: Gene Bindhammer and Tedd Olkowski City Staff: David Hoover, Executive Director of Development Services; Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager, Mark Linenschmidt, Senior Planner; Kayla Leal, Planner II; Matt Brown, Assistant City Engineer Michelle Villareal, Deputy City Attorney 2. Approval of September 6, 2022, minutes Mr. Maaz asked if there were any corrections. He stated hearing none, the September 6, 2022, minutes are approved. 3. Citizen Communications No citizens spoke. 4. New Business A. Consider and take action on a Preliminary Plat, Westland Ranch, SF-4 (Plat-21-0010), generally located south of Muldoon Parkway and east of Magnolia Bayou Drive. Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Dominguez made a motion to approve the Preliminary/Final Plat, Westland Ranch, SF-4 (Plat-21-0010), per staff’s recommendations. Ms. Arnold seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. B. Consider and take action on a Preliminary/Final Plat, Spears Acres, (Plat-22-0032), generally located along the south side of East Main Street (FM 518) and west of Reynolds Avenue with an address of 205 Reynolds Ave. Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager, gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. Mr. Dominguez made a motion to approve the Preliminary/Final Plat, Preliminary/Final Plat, Spears Acres, (Plat-22-0032), per staff’s recommendations. Ms. Arnold seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. 5. Other Business A. Consider and take action on the 2023 Calendar of Meetings. Ms. Morrison motioned to approve the 2023 Calendar of Meetings. Mr. Barron seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0-0. 6. Staff Comments Kris Carpenter informed the Commissioners that notices about reappointments will be forthcoming. 7.
