This was received and filed. APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Commissioner Mall, seconded by Commissioner Brady, to approve the 12-12-16 Agenda. The motion carried unanimously 6-0. The Lee's Summit Municipal Airport was featured on the cover of the Catalyst Business Magazine with an article titled "LXT/Lee's Summit Municipal Airport Lands Expansion". John Ohrazda was featured and quoted. Mr. Ohrazda said the airport also has advertisements in the 2017 Lee's Summit Chamber Calendar showing the pancake breakfasts each month and the Airport Open House in June. The Missouri Pilot's Association's newsletter for December 2016, featured the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport. In February 2017, Joel Arrington will be attending the National Business Aircraft Association's Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in Dallas. Mr. Arrington will be handing out information on the Airport's hangar and runways to the schedulers for all the big corporations and companys in attendance. The City of Lee's Summit Page 2 Printed on 5/4/2017  Board of Aeronautic Commissioners Action Letter - Final December 12, 2016 Bob Hartnett reported that he, John Ohrazda, and Curt Powelson drove to Jefferson City and met with the City's consultants Ty Sander, Brian Bloodworth and Tyler Horn from Crawford, Murphy & Tilly. The group met with Amy Ludwig, the Missouri Department of Aviation Director, and other members of her staff. A key issue that came from the meeting was regarding funding. The primary focus for funding at this time is for maintenance projects only. There are some airports in Missouri that get grants and are unable to take advantage of them, so they turn the money back in to the State. Ms. Ludwig cautioned that any airports that have projects that are ready to go could be a recipent of some of that turn-back money. Mr. Hartnett said the Lee's Summit Airport has a number of projects that could qualify. Mr. Hartnet said the City is still working on the CIP, but should be able to present a draft CIP at the February BOAC meeting. Mr. Hartnett reported on the Airport Tenant Open House meeting that was held on Nov. 7. The Open House was extremely well received and the attendants were happy to learn about the long-range CIP for the airport. John Ohrazda reported about the airport's communication plan and how notification would be issued. On Friday, Dec. 16, at 9:30 a.m., there will be a ribbon cutting for the Lee's Summit Road project and the newly purchased Hangar 1 building at the Airport. At 10:30 a.m. there will be a pre-construction conference with Emery Sapp & Sons on the pavement project. This Report was received and filed. 5. SUGGESTION BOX Vice Chairman Reeves said there were no suggestions in the suggestion box at this time. This was received and filed. 6. ROUNDTABLE John Ohrazda said there will be a runway closure on Thursday, Dec. 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. next to the runway, while a procedure called pot-holing is done to take soil samples. There are also surveying parties on the airport that are getting information for the design of Taxiway A. The State of Missouri will be on the airport on Jan. 4 & 5, to do a pavement analysis. 7.
