The City of Lee's Summit Action Letter Finance and Budget Committee Monday, August 2, 2021 5:00 PM City Council Chambers City Hall 220 SE Green Street Lee's Summit, MO 64063 Notice is hereby given that the Finance and Budget Committee for the City of Lee’s Summit will meet in Regular Session on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 5:00 pm in person and via video conference as provided by Section 2-50 of the City of Lee’s Summit Code of Ordinances, adopted by the City Council on June 15, 2021, Ordinance No. 9172. Persons wishing to comment on any item of business on the agenda via video conference may do so by sending a request prior to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, to the City Clerk at clerk@cityofls.net to attend the meeting on the video conferencing platform. The City Clerk will provide instructions regarding how to attend by this method. The meeting may be viewed on the City website at www.WatchLS.net, and various cable providers (Spectrum channel 2, Google TV channel 143, AT&T U-Verse channel 99 and Comcast channel 7) for those whose cable providers carry the City of Lee’s Summit meetings. 1. Approval of Agenda A motion was made by Councilmember Shields, seconded by Councilmember Edson, to approve the agenda as published. Public Comments There were no Public Comments. 5. Business A. 2021-4289 Approval of the June 14, 2021 Finance and Budget Committee Action Letter. A motion was made by Vice Chair Lopez, seconded by Councilmember Edson, to approve the June 14, 2021 Action Letter. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson Johnson Vice Chair Lopez Councilmember Edson Councilmember Shields B. BILL NO. An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement 21-156 between the City of Lee's Summit and the Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri a/k/a Metropolitan Community College for use of its Precision Driving Center. A motion was made by Councilmember Shields, seconded by Councilmember Edson, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval to the City Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson Johnson Vice Chair Lopez Councilmember Edson Councilmember Shields C. BILL NO. An Ordinance approving the software support agreement for the Lawson 21-157 Enterprise Resource Planning System between the City of Lee’s Summit and Infor (US), LLC in the amount of $575,106.35 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City. A motion was made by Councilmember Edson, seconded by Vice Chair Lopez, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval to the City Council. An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between 21-158 Mid-America Regional Council and Bound Tree Medical, LLC, to purchase medical supplies and equipment as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City. A motion was made by Vice Chair Lopez, seconded by Councilmember Shields, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval to the City Council. An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between 21-159 Mid-America Regional Council and Life-Assist, Inc., to purchase medical supplies and equipment as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City. A motion was made by Councilmember Shields, seconded by Councilmember Edson, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval to the City Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson Johnson Vice Chair Lopez Councilmember Edson Councilmember Shields F. BILL NO. An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between 21-160 Mid-America Regional Council and Medline Industries, Inc., to purchase medical supplies and equipment as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City. A motion was made by Vice Chair Lopez, seconded by Councilmember Edson, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval to the City Council. Roundtable Chairperson Johnson announced the next meeting of the Finance and Budget Committee is Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Ms. Bette Wordelman, Director of Finance, notified the Committee there will be a Resolution going before the City Council to update the signature cards for bank accounts due to some staff turnover and procedural changes. Ms. Christal Weber, Assistant City Manager, informed the Committee of some upcoming items for next month's agenda which will be the survey results regarding the health clinic and the first department responsibility overview. A. 2021-4283 FY21/FY22 FIscal Sustainability Plan Update There were no questions or discussions by the Committee. B. 2021-4246 Investment Portfolio Report for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 There were no questions or discussions by the Committee. 7.
