LEVAN TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING October 5, 2022 7PM 1. Opening Business: Welcome by Alan Paystrup Planning Commission Chairman Invocation: Christine Carrigan Planning Commission Councilmember 2. Reports: • Wesley Draper- New Home Building Permit • James wankier-Fence Permit 4. Discussion Item: • FYI the town council is looking at changing house permit approvals to be reviewed t h e P l a n n i n g C o m m i s s i o n a n d approved by the Town Council. They may also be doing away with fence permits all together. 1  • William Tanner has sent the town legal papers for a quiet deed to take title of some adjoining land at his property. Jason and Bruce are having the attorney draw up legal documents stating where the town easement is near that spot just be sure everything is clear. • The lawyer for the Green Subdivision has sent a letter informing the town that the state sent a report showing how much water the town has, and basically telling us that we have plenty of water and that we have to provide water for their subdivision. They aren't taking into account that the water is also irrigation water, and there is shrinkage as well. The fact is that our ordinances don't require us to provide water. • With Taryn's resignation we need to get an alternate council member in place. • Alan thinks that our town ordinances governing the planning commission were changed a few years back, and the length of the terms, and rotation of chairperson were accidently dropped out. We need to investigate that and correct it. 5.
