Minutes Levan Town Council Special Meeting June 22, 2023 7:30pm Welcome: Mayor Bruce Rowley Meeting Began at 7:45 pm In Attendance: Mayor Bruce Rowley Councilmembers: Nick Mangelson, Nathan Washer, Ray Evans, Rachel Goates Meeting Recorders: Christine Carrigan and Chantal Rowley Others in Attendance: Rebecca Dopp (Times-News) Special Town Council Agenda: Discussion items: None Action Items: Approve 2023-2024 FY Budget Ray Evans – Yes Nathan Washer – Yes Nick Mangelson – Yes Rachel Goates - Yes Bruce Rowley – Yes All in favor. 2023-2024 FY Budget Approved 1. Mayor/Councilmember/Department/Committee Reports: a. Mayor/Councilmember Reports: Mayor Rowley reports that the garbage truck is having mechanical issues and will need approximately 80 hours’ worth of repair work. Arrangements have been made to cover the garbage pick-up during that time. Park Benches are done and just need concrete pads poured so they may be installed at the park. Ray Evans and Nick Mangelson said they would look into getting that done. Nick Mangelson reported about progress with the Buckaroo Rodeo. Tate Shepherd will do 1  first place buckles and cash payouts. Tate would like a conex at the arena for storage and as a sign-up booth. An announcer’s booth could eventually be installed on the roof of the conex. Council members will get some prices and consider purchasing the storage in a future meeting. Animal Control. Council members discussed how to help and respond to residents’ animal control calls until a P.O.S.T. certified enforcement officer can be hired. Motion to adjourn made by Rachel Goates.
