Meeting minutes
June 25, 2024
6:30 P.M.
Welcome
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Bruce Rowley for the purpose of
discussing and approving the budget for the town.
Present at Meeting: Mayor Bruce Rowley, Council Members: Rachel Goates, Chris Chipping,
Ray Evans, Bre Aagard. Meeting Recorders Chantal Rowley and Christine Carrigan. Also
present: Carol Bennet
Discussion Items
Town Council members discussed the current state of the budget and addressed any questions
or concerns. Comparisons were made to other municipalities regarding cost of living raises.
Discussions also included merit raises given to specific employees who were recognized for
their considerable contributions.
Action Items
Approve 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget Amendments
The council reviewed the amendments to the previous fiscal year's budget.
Rachel Goates made a motion to accept the 2024 amended budget. Motion was seconded by
Ray Evans. All in favor. Motion carried.
Adopt 2024 Property Tax Rate (no increase)
The council confirmed that there would be no increase in the property tax from the Town for
the upcoming year.
Ray Evans made a motion to approve the 2024 Property Tax rate with no increases. Motion
was seconded by Chris Chipping. All in favor: Motion carried.
Approve 2024-2025 Fiscal Year Budget
The budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 was presented and discussed. Any remaining
questions were addressed, and a motion was made to approve the budget.
Ray Evans made a motion to approve the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget." Motion was
seconded by Bre Aagard. All in favor. Motion carried.
Equipment Needs
Following the budget discussions, a council member mentioned the potential need for a
tractor to assist with mowing and other town maintenance activities.
Public Comments
No public comments were recorded.
Adjourn
The meeting was officially adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
Ray Evans made the motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Chris Chipping. All in
favor. Meeting adjourned.
