RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS; MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEWISBURG, OHIO, REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AT 7:00 P.M., APRIL 4, 2024, AT THE LEWISBURG COMMUNITY CENTER. The regular meeting of the Village of Lewisburg, Ohio Council was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Dennis Roberts. ROLL CALL: Eliza Wagoner, Clerk of Council. PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Roberts, Council Members Marla Colville-Brown, Barb Foster, Mary Nelson, Lori Pheanis, Ted Thies, and Jackie Sewert. Also present were Municipal Manager Jeff Sewert, Police Chief Rick McGee, Fire & EMS Chief B.J. Sewert, Law Director Steve Hobbs, and Fiscal Officer Susan Laux. Motion to approve the minutes of the March 21, 2024, regular Village Council Meeting. First by Lori Pheanis. Second by Barb Foster. Roll Call Vote: 7 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. Motion to approve the check disbursement report. First by Mary Nelson. Second by Ted Thies. Roll Call Vote: 7 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. Motion to approve the purchase order report. First by Lori Pheanis. Second by Ted Thies. Roll Call Vote: 7 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. CITIZENS: None. MAYOR: Mayor Roberts provided an update on a recent meeting with Mars Petcare and their involvement with the Village. LEGAL: None. MUNICIPAL MANAGER: Manager Sewert gave an update on plans for the Solar Eclipse Weekend, plans for property at 40 & Shields and Clean Ohio Grant, Downtown Grant, new banners with new logo, proposal for additional lighting at community center, and email from the State Historic Preservation Office. Motion to approve changing the baseball opening day parade on April 20th start time from 10:00 to 9:00 A.M. First by Ted Thies. Second by Lori Pheanis. Roll Call Vote: 7 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. LIBRARY: Barb Foster reported on upcoming events. 1 PARK: Ted Thies gave updates on trees coming in on April 28th, park clean-up will be April 13th, and baseball parade and opening day will be April 20th.
