RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS; MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEWISBURG, OHIO, REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AT 7:00 P.M., APRIL 18, 2024, AT THE LEWISBURG COMMUNITY CENTER. The regular meeting of the Village of Lewisburg, Ohio Council was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Dennis Roberts. ROLL CALL: Eliza Wagoner, Clerk of Council. PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Roberts, Council Members Marla Colville-Brown, Barb Foster, Mary Nelson, and Jackie Sewert. Lori Pheanis and Ted Thies were absent. Also present were Municipal Manager Jeff Sewert, Fire & EMS Chief B.J. Sewert, and Law Director Steve Hobbs. Police Chief Rick McGee and Fiscal Officer Susan Laux were absent. Motion to approve the minutes of the April 4, 2024, regular Village Council Meeting. First by Mary Nelson. Second by Barb Foster. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. Motion to approve the check disbursement report. First by Barb Foster. Second by Mary Nelson. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. Motion to approve the purchase order report. First by Jackie Sewert. Second by Marla Colville- Brown. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. CITIZENS: None. MAYOR: Mayor Roberts thanked everyone who participated in the solar eclipse events. LEGAL: Law Director Hobbs explained the proposed Ordinance regarding 1171.11 Solar Energy Systems. 1ST READING (Read by Law Director Hobbs): ORDINANCE AMENDING PART ELEVEN OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEWISBURG. MUNICIPAL MANAGER: Manager Sewert gave an update on St. Rt. 503 paving deterioration and meeting with the state engineers regarding the repairs, Miami Valley Cable Council regarding electric aggregation, south well project going out to bid soon, Preble County Expo, recycling, and recent meetings. Motion to approve Manager Sewert sending a letter of support for the ODOT proposed truck parking area on 70 westbound. First by Barb Foster. Second by Jackie Sewert. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. 1 Manager Sewert stated that the Village only received one bid on the west side storm drainage project that was too far over and need to re-bid the project. Motion to authorize to re-bid the West Side Storm Drainage Project. First by Marla Colville-Brown. Second by Jackie Sewert. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved. Motion to close Market Street on April 20, 2024, for the Trailriders to host a chicken dinner event. First by Barb Foster. Second by Mary Nelson. Roll Call Vote: 5 Yes 0 No. Motion approved.
