CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSlON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2024 HELD IN-PERSON PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Led by Commissioner Webster and Civil Service Commission. CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner ltilann called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Civil Service Commission members who physically attended the meetinq: Commissioner Webster, Commissioner [Vlann, and Heidi Workman, Chief Examiner. Civil Service Commission members who remotelv attended the meetinq. None Commissioner Webster moved to excuse Commissioner Hatcher. Commissioner Mann seconded, which carried unanimously. City staff who phy attended the meetino: None OLD BUSINESS: No items at this time GENERAL BUSINESS: A. Approve the August 8, 2024, meeting minutes: Commissioner Hatcher moved to approve the August 8, 2024 minutes, seconded by Commissioner Mann. This motion carried unanimously. B. Discuss Police Department updates. The Chief Examiner announced that the 2025 hiring process for lateral officers will begin in November 2024 and that an internal selection list for Lieutenant and Corporal will soon be available. Commission discussion ensued. PUBLIC COMMENTS: No comments at this time.
