Review/Possible Action on Façade Improvements to Building at 505 Grand Avenue – Four D
Investments, LLC
The proposed façade renovation includes removing the existing vinyl siding on the south and east walls as well
as the masonry on the east side. A new window will be cut in on the east side. The new building material will
be colored concrete masonry units in a split-face and tumbled texture, clay brick, and cut stone stills. A 2′ x 2′
cut stone windmill design will be placed above the Baker’s Outlet sign. The American Family Sign will remain
the same red, white, and blue colors as those are their logo colors. John Elrick, Bace Inc., presented samples and
colors of the building products. The colors being proposed are tan and reddish. On the east side a new double
hung window will be installed to match the existing window and new entrance doors will be installed for
Baker’s Outlet and a new window will be installed on the south side. Steven Reynebeau suggested adding
shutters to the south side windows and the designer and owners explained that the look they are going for on
this side is an old-world warehouse look.
Moved by Rob Peterson, seconded by Hollie Hammen to approve the Façade Improvement Plan for
505 Grand Avenue as Submitted with the Color Schemes and Materials presented.
