MINUTES OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD MEETING OF AUGUST 29, 2011 Call to Order: Charles Kell, Village Administrator called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Roll Call: Present: Administrator Charles Kell-Chairperson, Village President Michael Vanden Berg, Hollie Hammen, Robert Peterson, Steven Reynebeau, John Elrick Also Present: Village Clerk Vicki Schneider Excused: Steve Mofle Absent: Diane De Bruin Public Appearances for Items Not on the Agenda None Approval of Minutes of June 27, 2011 Moved by R. Peterson, seconded by J. Elrick to approve the minutes of June 27, 2011 as presented. Ayes 6, Nays 0 – Motion Carried Review/Possible Action on Application filed by John Elrick for Cinder Care of Little Chute Located at 715 Depot Street – Partial Building Facade John Elrick asked to abstain from voting on this agenda item. John Elrick reviewed the façade renovation plan noting that the existing stone and cedar siding on the east face of the building would be replaced with 8″ x 16″ tumbled and chained block masonry in an autumn wheat color on the base and the blocks above that will be 4″ x 8″ tumbled brick colored highland bluff placed up to the roof projection which is at approximately 7′. The existing door on the north end will be replaced with a new six-panel door painted in a tan color. Examples of the colors were presented. The existing roof material and siding on the roof projection will remain. Discussion took place. Moved by R. Peterson, seconded by S. Reynebeau to approve the Plan for the Partial Building Façade Renovation for Cinder Care at 715 Depot Street as presented. Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstained 1 (Elrick) - Motion Carried Unfinished Business S. Reynebeau noted that the sign pole on the Jet’s Pizza site had been removed as required. C. Kell stated that he was informed that the signs for the Jet’s Pizza building would be arriving by the end of this week and they are still waiting for the awnings to arrive. C. Kell also noted that a landscaping plan for the site will be submitted to J. Moes. S. Reynebeau noted that he helped the Jet’s Pizza owners with developing their landscape plan.
