Fire Commission Meeting Minutes November 12, 2012, 5:45 PM. Fire Station Call to Order at 5:45 PM. Present: President Carl Peeters, Secretary Pat Nikolay, Commission Members Bill Verhagen, and Dick Schevers. Also present was Chief Mark Janssen. Secretary’s Report September 10, 2012 meeting minutes were reviewed – motion made by Bill, seconded by Dick to accept minutes, all ayes. Old Business Classes for new hires are scheduled to begin on January 8, 2013, according to Jon Brockman, who is in charge of training. New Business The Board was advised by Chief Mark Jansen that Firefighter Rick Paitel will be granted up to one year leave of absence due to illness in his family. When he is able to return, he will be required to do some updating of procedures and equipment that will be determined upon his return. Adjourn at 6:00 PM. Next Meeting: February 11, 2013
