Fire Commission Meeting Minutes May 13, 2013, 5:45 PM. Fire Station Call to Order at 5:45 PM. Present: President Carl Peeters, Secretary Pat Nikolay, Commission Members Bill Verhagen, Dick Schevers. Also present was Chief Mark Janssen. Secretary’s Report February 11, 2013 and Special meeting on February 25, 2013 minutes were reviewed, motion made by Dick Schevers, seconded by Bill Verhagen to file as written. Old Business D All new hires passed Part 1 and Hazardous Materials. They are all now able to ride on the trucks and go into fires under supervised circumstances. All are taking the Practical testing on Saturday and the written test next Wednesday. VE Both Carl Peeters and Pat Nikolay have been reappointed for another 3-year term on the Fire Commission. O Discussion took place concerning the outcomes of the meeting with FVTC faculty on February 25, 2013. It was decided to wait and see what happens with the upcoming testing before taking any further action. New Business PR Carl Peeters was re-elected as President and Pat Nikolay as Secretary unanimously. Adjourn at 6:00 PM. NAP Next Meeting: September 9, 2013. U
