Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes January 9, 2018 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Bill Van Berkel Excused: Kerry Ruhnke Guest: Interim Chief Scott Lund, FVMPD Russ VanGompel The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. roll call was taken. Kerry Ruhnke was excused from the meeting. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Scott Schommer to approve the minutes from the December 12, 2017 meeting, and Bill VanBerkel seconded the motion. The motion carried, 2-0. Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Closed Session A motion was made by VanBerkel and seconded by Schommer to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried, 2–0. Schommer made a motion to return to open session, and it was seconded by VanBerkel. The motion carried, 2-0. Action from Closed Session It was decided possible action may be taken to extend the application for the position of Chief of Police. Commission President Communications None. The next police commission meeting will be determined upon communication with the consultant, Russ VanGompel.
