Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes December 12, 2017 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Kerry Ruhnke Laurie Verhagen Mark Van Thiel Excused: Bill Van Berkel Guest: Interim Chief Scott Lund, FVMPD The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. roll call was taken. Bill Van Berkel was excused from the meeting. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Kerry Ruhnke to approve the minutes from the November 21, 2017 meeting, and Scott Schommer seconded the motion. The motion carried (4-0). Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Chief’s Report None Closed Session A motion was made by Mark Van Thiel and seconded by Kerry Ruhnke to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried (4 – 0). Scott Schommer made a motion to come out of closed session, and it was seconded by Kerry Ruhnke. The motion carried (4 – 0). Action from Closed Session Two candidates for the open Lieutenant position were identified as Mark Wery and Edmund Slinde. Captain Lund will announce the appointment. Commission President Communications None. There was not a new commission meeting date set. Adjournment A motion to adjourn was made at 7:40 by Mark Van Thiel and seconded by Laurie Verhagen.
