Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes February 27, 2018 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Bill Van Berkel Kerry Ruhnke Mark Verhagen Excused: N/A Guest: Interim Chief Scott Lund, FVMPD Russ VanGompel The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. roll call was taken. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Kerry Ruhnke to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2018 meeting, and Scott Schommer seconded the motion. The motion carried, 4-0. Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Closed Session A motion was made by Kerry Ruhnke and seconded by Mark Verhagen to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried, 4–0. Kerry Ruhnke made a motion to return to open session, and it was seconded by Scott Schommer. The motion carried, 4-0. Action from Closed Session It was decided there will be a Meet and Greet with the Chief candidates on March 26, and the Commission interviews with the Chief candidates will take place on March 27. Commission President Communications None. The next Police Commission meeting will be March 6, 2018 for Officer interviews.
