Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes July 17, 2018 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Bill Van Berkel Mark Verhagen Jason Weber Excused: Jason Nate Guest: Chief Daniel Meister The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m., and roll call was taken. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Jason Weber to approve the minutes from the May 22, 2018 meeting, and Mark Verhagen seconded the motion. The motion carried, 4-0. Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Closed Session A motion was made by Scott Schommer and seconded by Bill Van Berkel to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried, 4–0. Scott Schommer made a motion to return to open session, and it was seconded by Jason Weber. The motion carried, 4-0. Action from Closed Session A motion was made by Mark Verhagen to approve Chief Meister’s recommendation to promote Officer Edmund Slinde to lieutenant. Scott Schommer seconded the motion. The motion carried 4 – 0. Commission President Communications None. The next Police Commission meeting is tentatively scheduled for the second Tuesday in September.
