Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes May 22, 2018 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Bill Van Berkel Jason Nate Jason Weber Excused: Mark Verhagen Guest: Chief Daniel Meister, Lieutenant Jeremy Slotke and Lieutenant Mark Ulman The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m., and roll call was taken. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Scott Schommer to approve the minutes from the March 27, 2018 meeting, and Bill Van Berkel seconded the motion. The motion carried, 4-0. Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Closed Session A motion was made by Jason Weber and seconded by Jason Nate to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried, 4–0. Scott Schommer made a motion to return to open session, and it was seconded by Jason Weber. The motion carried, 4-0. Action from Closed Session The Commission authorized Chief Meister to make the final decision of candidate for Captain. The Commission also authorized Chief Meister to commence the process of hiring a new officer. Commission President Communications None. Schedule Next Police Commission Meeting The next meeting will be determined by Chief Meister and President Rundquist.
