The Village of Little Chute would like to provide you the opportunity, as a property owner or affected resident, to attend the scheduled Public Hearing to discuss these projects and how it will impact you. The Village of Little Chute Engineer will be available to provide information and answer questions that you may have regarding these projects. A notice of the Public Hearing has been published in the Times Villager and will appear in the Wednesday, January 25, 2023 edition of this newspaper. This information is currently on file in the Administrative Office and Engineering Department located at 108 West Main Street and may be inspected any business day, beginning January 25, 2023, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents and Property Owners are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing, to address questions or concerns. Engineering staff time was also provided to investigate a cost option to install a sidewalk with curb and gutter which was not pursued due to costs. When the Village accepted the Town’s Proposal Engineering Staff created plans and obtained utility contractor estimates to adjust structure elevations. Village Plans were used to provide the structure adjustments to the Village Utility Contractor and to assist the county paving crew in reducing haul costs. The increase of asphalt material cost is a result of the estimate being prepared in February of 2022 and the construction occurring over six months later. Fiscal Impact: The associated costs for this project are provided below: County estimate $ 27,304 Actual Construction per invoice $ 33,613 Utility adj. estimate $ 7,068 Utility Adjustments per invoice $ 5,700 Engineering costs $ 5,888 Project budget estimate $ 34,372 Final Construction Cost $ 45,201 Construction Fund Budget Amendment Buchanan Road Improvements & Engineering +$ 10,829 Net Position -$ 10,829 Recommendation/Board Action: Please approve the 2022 budget adjustment for $10,829 necessary to issue final payment on this project.
