SPECIAL TELECONFERENCE NOTICE Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20: The Brown Act, Government Code Section 54953, contains special requirements that apply when members of a legislative body participate in a public meeting by telephone. Certain of these requirements have been suspended by Paragraph 3 of Executive Order N-29-20, executed by the Governor of California on March 17, 2020, to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Lodi Police has numerous teams and collateral duties within the department. These teams and duties are assigned to management staff to oversee and/or command. Lieutenant Kevin Kent is presenting to council an overview presentation focusing on the teams he oversees including SWAT, Honor Guard, and UAS. Lt. Kent will be apprising council on the team’s training, deployments, statistics, and cost. FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable. TACTICAL OBSTACLE COURSE Complete an 880 yard course in less than 4 minutes and 40 seconds. At the 220 mark the candidate must negotiate nine cones laterally dispersed. At the 440 yard mark, candidates must drag a supine victim 10 yards to safety. The VO shall alert the PIC of any conditions (obstructions, terrain, structures, air traffic, weather, etc.) that may affect the safety of flight.
