MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: Planning Commission Chairman Ed Warren called the meeting to
order at 7:30 p.m. Invocation was given by R.C. Shanks followed by the pledge of allegiance.
In attendance: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairman,
Ed Warren; Planning Commissioners: Bruce Granoff, Sonny Medlin, Barbara Forrester, Steven
Landers, Arno Angulo and R.C. Shanks. Council Members, Michelle Lynch was present.
Administrative Assistant, Nina Ramsey recorded the minutes.
• Ed Warren called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
• Invocation given by Sonny Medlin
• Pledge to the Flag
• A motion was made by Bruce Granoff and seconded by Arno Angulo to approve the
January 24, 2013 minutes. Motion carried 6 – 0.
APPROVE MINUTES: A motion was made by R.C. Shanks and seconded by Barbara Forrester to
approve the February 28, 2013 Minutes. Motion carried 4 – 0 therefore the February 28, 2013
minutes were approved.
THE FOLLOWING CASES WERE PRESENTED:
Case #13-002 – An ordinance to amend Sec. 119-217 of the Loganville Zoning Ordinance
modifying the requirements Materials for facings in the CH District. A motion was made by
R.C. Shanks and seconded by Bruce Granoff to recommend that the City Council approve the
amendment to Sec. 119-217 of the Loganville Zoning Ordinance. Motion carried 6 – 0 therefore
the Ordinance is amended as follows:
Sec. 119-217. – CH Commercial Highway District
(f) Materials for facings. Within any CH district all building and structure faces
must be finished with glass, metal composite materials, wood ceramics, or masonry
except for incidental metal trim (non–MCM) and must extend down each side 20
feet toward the rear of building.
Case #13-003 – An ordinance to amend Sec. 119-432 (a) of the Loganville Zoning Ordinance
modifying buffer requirements by removing the word single-family. A motion was made by
Arno Angulo and seconded by Sonny Medlin to recommend that the City Council approve the
amendment to Sec. 119-432 (a). Motion carried 6 – 0 therefore the Ordinance is amended as
follows:

(a) Buffer strip areas shall be established to meet each of the following minimum
width requirements for each of the following districts where adjacent to a residential district:
O & I district 20 feet
CH, CN and CBD districts 30 feet
MHP, LI and HI districts 40 feet
A motion was made by Steven Landers and seconded by Bruce Granoff to adjourn. Motion
carried 6 – 0 therefore meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

The City of Loganville will conduct the following public hearings:
Case #13-002
An ordinance to amend Sec. 119-217 of the Loganville Zoning Ordinance modifying the
requirements Materials for facings in the CH District.
