Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road Thursday, April 25, 2019 • 6:30 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Bruce Granoff, Amanda Soesbe, Richard Homick, Melisa Arnold and Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. Barbara Forrester was an absentee. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:34 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Bruce Granoff to approve the minutes from the Frebruary 28, 2019 Planning Commission meeting. Motion carried 5-0. BUSINESS: Chairwoman Janice Tribble turns the floor over to Tim Prater and he begins the request of rezoning property located at 112 Brand Road S.E. from R-44 to CH to which Tim Prater then turns the floor over to the applicant Shane Lanham to answer any questions. Melisa Arnold inquired about where the service vehicles and employee vehicles would be parked; applicant replied that the vehicles would be parked behind structure fenced in. Melisa Arnold went on to ask if a fence would be erected between property in question and D.R. Horton property; applicant stated a wooden fence was already in place and they would be planting a buffer also. Melisa Arnold also inquired about additional parking; Tim Prater added that additional parking would be required to meet Code. Katherine Self asked about the future of the lake on the property and it was stated by applicant that it would be left as is. Janice Tribble asked if there were any opposing factors of which no was answered by Tim Prater. A motion was made by Richard Homick to approve request and 2nd by Bruce Granoff. Motion carried 5-0. ADJOURN - A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Katherine Self to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 6:49pm.
