City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road September 24, 2020 • 6:30 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Amanda Soesbe, Katherine Self, Melisa Arnold, Barbara Forrester, Richard Homick and Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Barbara Forrester to approve the minutes from the August 27, 2020 Planning Commission meeting. Motion carried 5-0. BUSINESS: Chairwoman Janice Tribble turned the floor over to Tim Prater to read the Cases. Case #R20-006 – Merritt Properties, Inc. has requested a Rezone of property located at Parcel # LG100160, 76 Bay Creek Road, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Present zoning is CH (Commercial Highway). Requested zoning is LI (Light Industrial). Proposed renovation of existing warehouse buildings. 2.48 acres. The applicant Lee Merritt was in attendance. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve this case. A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Katherine Self. Motion carried 5-0. Case #V20-007 – Brad Cooper, Blue River Development has requested a Variance of property located at Parcel # LG10000000157000, 344 Covington Street, Loganville, GA., 30052, Walton County. Present zoning is R16 (Single Family Urban Residential). Ordinance and Section from which relief is sought will be Sec. 119-208. R-44 single family rural residential district requesting to modify the minimum lot width requirement, 100’ to 93.10’. 1.41 acres. The applicant Brad Cooper was in attendance The Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve this case. A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Richard Homick. Motion carried 5-0. ADJOURN - A motion was made by Amanda Soesbe and seconded by Barbara Forrester to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0.
