City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4303 Lawrenceville Road October 29, 2020 • 6:30 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairwoman, Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Barbara Forrester, Amanda Soesbe, , Richard Homick, Katherine Self, Alma Thomas, Brian Linkous and Admin. Assistant II, Angela Page recorded the minutes. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Katherine Self to approve the minutes from the September 24, 2020 Planning Commission meeting. Motion carried 6-0. BUSINESS: Chairwoman Janice Tribble turned the floor over to Tim Prater to read the Cases. Case #R20-008: Carren Woolery requests a rezone from current zoning of R16 to O & I of the property located at Map/Parcel #LG100141, 0.34 acres 335 Bay Creek Road, Loganville, Ga., Walton County for the use of office space. The applicant Carren Woolery and Jeremy Moultin was in attendance and explained this location would be used for an office to do billing and answering phones. There would be up to 3 employees at most working from this location for 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to deny. This rezone does not follow our future land map for this area. A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Amanda Soesbe. Motion carried 6-0. CASE #V20-009: Builders Professional Group requests a variance for the property located at Map/Parcel #R5161-006, 2561 Loganville Hwy, Loganville, Ga., Gwinnett County to reduce road frontage from 75’ to 70’. The present zoning is R22 Overlay Subdivision and consist of 26 acres. Applicant was in attendance and explained that this was an oversite on his part when the development plans were approve and thought that the variance was included at that time of approval. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve this case. A motion was made by Brian Linkous and seconded by Barbara Forrester. Motion carried 6-0. ADJOURN - A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Brian Linkous to adjourn. Motion carried 6-0.
