VILLAGE OF LONE ROCK LONE ROCK, WISCONSIN OFFICE OF THE CLERK The Lone Rock Village Board held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 7:00 P.M. at the Village Office, 314 E Forest St, Lone Rock, WI, Board Members: Dan Quinn - President; Mary Litviak; Steve Morgenson; Harry Pulvermacher; Brandon Bindl; Adam Reno; Chris Conner MINUTES Roll Call was taken by Tammy Christianson with all members present. Also in attendance: Esther Marshall, Brad Wilson, Haydn Walsh, Pat Christianson, Sandra Creasey, Christa Quinn, Brad Seymour, Carl Busjahn, Vern & Evy Halverson, Brandy Dosch, Theresa Jensen. Join Zoom Meeting: Linda Schwanke, John Heasley, Krystle Mitchell, Troy Rinehart. Mary Litviak made a motion to approve the agenda and Steve Morgenson seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Steve Morgenson made a motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting and Adam Reno seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Village of Lone Rock will be having a Spring Clean-up on Wednesday, May 3rd from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Dumpsters will be available at the village dump on Olson Road. Vern & Evy Halverson, Summit Prairie MHP discussed the master meter running high this last quarter. A meter is being installed to view the numbers above the manhole. Halverson will be contacting the Public Service Commission (PSC) to file a complaint concerning the large usage. Tammy Christianson stated that a person of interest has requested information on the school lots. This has been referred to the Finance Committee to get surveyed and appraisals. Dan Quinn has his office back; the judge’s office is being used for audio/video and voting equipment. The officer’s office would work well for the EMS but it’s on hold at this time. Community Center: The office developed a checklist for renters to complete when checking out. There are items that have been left behind and must be removed. All events using the Community Center must sign the rental agreement and provide a security deposit. Between the rental agreement and checklist repairs and/or damages will be reported immediately. Mary Litviak provided an update on the 4th of July. The Committee now has a website, fundraising has begun, fireworks quote is $6,000.00, marketplace sites will be at Fireman’s Park and baseball games. Harry Pulvermacher made a motion to take care of cost for porta potties for the 4th of July and Adam Reno seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Website re-design: Mary Litviak provided an update with on-line payments and forms. The website will be presented at the April 18th meeting. Harry Pulvermacher attended the Lone Rock Fire District meeting and the Fire Department needed new air packs and the quote was 38,000.00 to 42,000.00. Other districts are using ARPA funds to donate for new air packs. Mary Litviak made a motion to donate $8,734.34 of ARPA funds towards new air packs and Harry Pulvermacher seconded the motion. Posted 04/18/2023.  VILLAGE OF LONE ROCK LONE ROCK, WISCONSIN OFFICE OF THE CLERK EMS: Brandy Dosch requested that the village pay for an internet, hotspot, or elite field system, ably staff to enter information when traveling. Adam Reno made a motion to get elite at $1,875.00 per year and Harry Pulvermacher seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Library: Troy Rinehart by Zoom. 131 total visitors, 22 kids for story time, 148 items checked out. Planning summer reading programs which may include a possible movie night outside. The library is starting a plastic recycling program taking in shopping bags and other items. All proceeds will be used for a bench outside the building. Public Works Department – Brad Wilson & Haydn Walsh. Bids on redoing the Community Center and Library floors. This is with the same company that did them back in November 2020. Adam Reno made a motion to accept Pro Line bids for prep and finishing the gym floor at $1,625.00, clean the carpet in the basement for $875.00 and strip and refinish the library floors for $1,210.00 and Brandon Bindl seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Adam Reno made a motion the village do $10,000.00 of crack filling this year and Chris Conner seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. Adam Reno made a motion to accept the bid of $9,975.00 to pressure wash the water tower and Mary Litviak seconded the motion. All voted aye, carried. The owner of the old bank contacted Brad about removing the tree in front of their building. Dan Quinn has received a bid to remove trees and stumps of $450.00 for each tree, but the village would be cleaning up the stumps. This was placed on the April 18th Welcoming Board Members agenda. Jewels Engineering contacted Brad about removing 2 trees that are on the village side on the corner of County Line Road. All parks are open. Brad Seymour would like to address parking issues on W Union by Keg & Kettle. This is totally unacceptable to allowing angle parking by that business with vehicle back ends sticking out into what should be normal traffic. Dan Quinn has a meeting the Clay Porter and will discuss this parking issue. The property on Richland Street will begin cleaning up the week of April 17th.
