Box 338 - Lone Rock, WI 53556 608-583-0088 Village Board Meeting Minutes 13-Feb-2024 Roll Call The roll call confirmed the attendance of Dan Quinn, Mary Litviak, Steve Morgenson, Brandon Bindl, Adam Reno, with Harry Pulvermacher absent. Also in attendance: Esther Marshall, Chris Conner, Cameron Quinn, Christa Quinn, Brad Seymour, Pat Christianson, Sandra Creasey, Theresa Jensen, Alvin J Christianson Zoom: Linda Schwanke, Ethel Fitzgibbons. Approve Agenda Adam Reno made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Brandon Bindl and approved without opposition. Approved 01/09/2024 Minutes. Historical Society – Millie Rott It was noted that Millie Rott could not attend the meeting and would therefore address the Historical Society's agenda item in the following month's meeting. Lions Club – AJ Christianson AJ Christianson spoke briefly on behalf of the Buena Vista Lions Club efforts to form a Lone Rock chapter and highlighted the need for members to launch a local club. Concerns over potential conflicts with past clubs were asked and preliminary discussions about a meeting place were introduced. Assessor’s RFP’s There was a discussion regarding two responses received for the Assessor's RFP. The board scrutinized the difference in cost between the two options before deciding to opt for the service that was recommended by a previous assessor, despite the cost being significantly higher than in previous years. Steve Morgenson made a motion to accept “municipal group” RFP. Adam Reno second it and the motion passed. Jail Lot Discussion focused on the sale of the lot where the jail was located, which had been torn down. It was agreed that the lot should be listed for sale. The previous stipulation regarding the building being torn down was cited, and Ted Greenheck was mentioned for listing the property and price. Adam Reno made a motion we list it, seconded by Steve Morgenson, motion carried. Renewal of All Starr Elevator, LLC Contract (3/1/2024-2/28/2025) The board reviewed the renewal contract for the All Starr Elevator, LLC. The motion was carried unanimously for the renewal. Operator’s License for LR Mart on Nicole Rackow Adam Reno made, and Steve Morgenson seconded to approve the operator's license for Nicole Rackow (related to the LR Mart). The board passed the motion without opposition. Fire District Nothing was presented for this agenda item. No news or updates were reported during the meeting. EMS Nothing was presented for this agenda item. No news or updates were reported during the meeting. Police – Dan Quinn A summary report was given on the number of calls for service and citations written. An upcoming update to ordinances was presented with the goal of enhancing the police department's resource interfaces. Library – Steve Morgenson The library reported a potential water intrusion issue and discussed prospective summer programs. There was an acknowledgment of the delivery of new furniture and an inquiry about the village's responsibility for exterior maintenance. Public Works Department Chris Conner mentioned concerns regarding the community building's basement entryway deterioration and DNR Sludge Removal approved. Public Input No specific comments or discussions documented for public input during the meeting. Upcoming Village or Community Meetings The board listed upcoming meetings, including a 4th of July committee meeting and a public hearing on the TID boundary/project plan.
