314 E. Forest Street, P.O. Box 338 - Lone Rock, WI 53556 608-583-0088 Village Board 2024-June-11 Meeting minutes Roll Call The Village Board Meeting was called to order. Attendees included Dan Quinn, Mary Litviak, Harry Pulvermacher, Brandon Bindl, Corey Ewers, Brad Seymour absent Adam Reno. Also in attendance: Esther Marshall; Chris Conner; Cameron Quinn, Christa Quinn, Pat Christianson, Brandy Dosch, Sandra Creasey, Ryan and Angela Larson, Mike Husom. ZOOM: Linda Schwanke, Valley Sentinel, Valley’s AI Notetaker. Approval of 05/14/2024 Minutes "I'll make a motion we approve the May 14, 2024, minutes." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Mary Litviak. Approve Agenda "I'll make motion with approval of the agenda." Motion carried. Moved by Brad Seymour and seconded by Brandon Bindl. Resolution 2024-07 - 2023 CMAR (LR Wastewater Treatment Facility) The Board discussed the 2023 Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) for the Lone Rock Wastewater Treatment Facility. "I'll make a motion to accept the resolution 2024-07." All those in favor signify by saying aye. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Corey Ewers. Motion carried. Spring Cleaning Follow-up 2024 A follow-up discussion from the Spring-Cleaning initiative took place. Violations and ordinance corrections for various residences were reviewed. S Elm Street between E Madison Street and E Exchange St, Block 30 Lots 5 & 6, owner A2Z Property Solution LLC Concerns about an abandoned building owned by A2Z Property Solution LLC were discussed. A decision was made to draft a formal letter requesting a plan for the property. 7/1/2024-6/30/2025 Liquor Licenses Renewal The following liquor licenses were set for renewal: 1) Dollar General; 2) Lone Rock Shell; 3) Lone Rock Mart; 4) The Woods Bar & Grill; 5) Keg & Kettle and NEW 6) Friends. "I will make a motion on the liquor licenses" Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Brad Seymour. 7/1/2023-9/30/2024 Cigarette, Tobacco, and Electronic Vaping Devices Licenses Renewal The following licenses for selling cigarette, tobacco, and electronic vaping devices were reviewed: 1) Lone Rock Mart; 2) Lone Rock Shell; 3) Dollar General and 4) Keg & Kettle. "I'll make a motion to renew the cigarette, tobacco, electronic vaping device licenses." Motion carried. Moved by Corey Ewers and seconded by Harry Pulvermacher. 7/1/2024-6/30/2025 Operators (Bartender) Licenses The meeting went ahead to review and approve the bartender licenses as listed: Tootie Pulvermacher, Buford Marshall Jr, Mary Litviak, Elizabeth Gieck, Ryan Larson, Angela Larson, Jody Brown, LeAnn Schultz, Stephanie Hildebrand, Christoper Gschwind, Lee Cornelius, Carole Hall, Yowilda Hinolan, Sara Christianson, Mary Larson, Caitlin Salisbury, Jenna Ackerman, Theresa Kanable, and Lis Faulkner. "I'll make a motion on the operator bartender licenses, pending background checks." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Corey Ewers. Temporary Class “B” Retailers License to Lone Rock 4th of July Committee for July 4th, 2024, at Fireman’s Park "I will make a motion we issue a temporary Class “B” license to the Lone Rock 4th of July committee for the 4th Only." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Brandon Bindl. Application for a Fireworks Permit to 2024 Lone Rock 4th of July Committee for July 4, 2024, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Fireman’s Park "I'll make a motion to accept the application for fireworks permit for the 2024 Lone Rock 4th of July committee." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Brandon Bindl. Building Permits – Corrin Hohneke and Derrick and Lorrie Reeves. "I make the motion we approve the building permits." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Mary Litviak. 4th of July – Mary Litviak Plans for the 4th of July celebrations were discussed. Activities planned for the event were detailed, including a parade, fireworks, and new attractions. It was asked that the village cover the cost of porta potties and allow the use of tables and chairs from the community building. "I make a motion that the village will cover the cost of the porta potties." Motion carried. Moved by Harry Pulvermacher and seconded by Corey Ewers. "I'll make a motion to allow for the use of 12-14 tables and 60 chairs." Motion carried. Moved by Corey Ewers and seconded by Harry Pulvermacher. Fire District There were no recent updates from the Fire District. EMS Several points were discussed about EMS staff and unreturned equipment. Police A report from the Police Department was presented, detailing the hours, and managed 37 calls with 0 citations in the Village. Library Brad Seymour reported 135 visitors, 170 items checked out and 83 checkouts on the Libby App. Summer programs: June 27th with a Falconry presentation, July 10th with live insects and reptiles, August 1st art class making angiograph, other outdoors games TBD and tentative August 22nd Pedal Pulls. Public Works Department – Chris Conner & Cameron Quinn Updates on the park basketball hoop, well upgrades, emergency shelter for tornado warnings, and Park maintenance were given. Emergency Shelter It was reaffirmed that the community center is designated as an emergency shelter for tornado warnings. Public Input There was no public input received during the meeting. Upcoming Village or Community Meetings Economic Development – Wednesday, June 26th at 6 PM>. Next Board Meeting – July 9, 2024 The next board meeting was scheduled for July 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at the Village Office. Review Check Register/Bills The check register and bills were reviewed.
