CALL TO ORDER
At 9:10AM Vice Chair Starr called the meeting to order.

CHAIR REPORT
1) Security Cameras.
· Review Map and new camera locations.
· Review price increase – approx. $95K.
· Problems with initial bid – has been rebid.
2) Median Flagpole halyard repair and replacement (this may be a separate item on
the Agenda).
· New flags have been or are ready for installation.
· Several flagpole halyards have broken and need to be repaired or replaced.
· It may be advisable to replace all other halyards before they brake.

3) Parking Meter Replacement Project (Smart Meters).
· City Manager is reviewing Consultant’s study report.
· Do not have installation schedule or contract details.
4) Proposed Parking Lot - 205 La Verne.
· Plan has changed and now has seven (7) parking spaces.
· Date for Planning Commission hearing is June 5, 2014.
5) Adopt-a-street sign has been removed.
6) Announcements:
· Stroll & Savor – May 15 & 15, 2014
· Meters will not be enforced on Monday, May 26, 2014 (Memorial Day)
· Bay Shore Avenue Improvement Project – scheduled to complete May 23, 2014.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Ralph Lepre spoke about expanding the commission to include more residents.
Dave Newell spoke about public access to bank parking lots and signage.
Commissioner Schneiter spoke about bank parking requirements.
Commissioner Forsberg spoke about exploring various banks allowing public parking
and arrangements with the City.
