MINUTES
1) Security Camera Project.
· All cameras and recording system are fully operational.
2) Smart Meter Program - Street Meters.
· Sensor not installed - anticipate installation late this year.
· Nothing to report on meter stickers.
3) Sidewalk Sealant.
· Nothing to report this month.
4) Sidewalk Pressure Washing.
· Last summer received numerous complaints for excess water runoff.
· Current frequency appears to be good balance - sidewalks are reasonably clean and
no complaints for standing water in gutters.
5) Median Landscape Upgrade Project.
· Committee met and reviewed scope, design criteria, irrigation concerns, etc.
· Working with City Staff and Council Office to determine most appropriate design review
and approval process, project scope and design criteria, and other considerations.
· Anticipate committee recommendations to Commission later this year.
6) Elimination of Reverse Compounding in Parking Lot Meters.
· Reverse compounding was eliminated on the south side meters (mid-July).
7) Purchase and Installation of 12 new Big Belly trash receptacles.
· New BB locations identified - general concept = 1 BB per block/every block (mid-block
location) and 2 (+) concrete trash receptacles at intersections (ends of blocks).
· Identified 15 extra concrete trash receptacles - removed by PR&M.
· Sidewalk cleaned at removal locations.
· Installation scheduled for early September (2nd, 3rd & 4th).
8) Claremont & 2nd Street - Traffic Signal under consideration.
· Council Office has requested Traffic Bureau review and make recommendations.
9) Library Bus Stop Reconfiguration.
· LBT removed Library bus stop was from service June 2013.
· LBT has confirmed removal is permanent.
· PC has previously requested City Traffic Bureau review for installation of metered
parking.
Council Office supports installation and has requested TB review and respond.
