Chairman Thompson opened the meeting at 10:35 a.m.

SWEARING OF WITNESSES
Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. C-5232, asked for all the people in the audience
who planned to give testimony, to stand, and they were sworn in by Myeesha Ayala.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Board Member DelGaudio to approve
the minutes as submitted. The motion carried 3-1. Board Member McCarthy abstained. Board
Members Hamilton, Arnold and Fitzpatrick were excused absent.

ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE- HARDSHIP
WAIVER
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the
Board and Tanisha Walker, 5214 E. Conant Street, Long Beach, CA 90808,
appeared.
It was moved by Board Member McCarthy and seconded by Board Member
DelGaudio to adopt the findings as follows: The witnesses presented by the
City, were in fact, credible. The cited party submitted a statement under penalty
of perjury, together with supporting documents or materials, demonstrating to
the satisfaction of the Board, the cited party’s actual financial inability to deposit
with the City the full amount of the fine and late charge(s) in advance of the
hearing. The request for hardship waiver is granted.

ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the
Board and Tanisha Walker, 5214 E. Conant Street, Long Beach, CA 90808,
appeared.
It was moved by Board Member McCarthy and seconded by Board Member
Witten to adopt the findings as follows: The witnesses presented by the City
were, in fact, credible. Appellant, as the property owner of record is the
responsible party for the cited violations. The cited violation(s) did exist on the
date the citation was issued. That the Appellant violated section(s) 6.08.010,
6.16.100(A) of the Long Beach Municipal Code, because on February 23, 2015,
two dogs belonging to Appellant, were found to be loose and without current
dog licenses. The Appeal is denied.

NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Angela Reynolds explained the various types of Appeals that may be presented before the
Board. She also informed the members of the Board that the Code Enforcement Division will
soon have a new Code Enforcement Division Officer.

MOTION FOR ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Board Member McCarthy and seconded by Board Member DelGaudio that the
hearing be adjourned at 11:18 a.m. The motion carried unanimously.
