CALL TO ORDER Chairman Thompson opened the meeting at 1:37 p.m. in the Code Enforcement Conference Room. ROLL CALL Commissioners Jim Thompson, Michael Hamilton, Diane L. Arnold, Michael W. Present: McCarthy, Charles Whitehead and Ethel Powers Commissioners Eric Witten Excused: SWEARING OF WITNESSES Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. C-5232, asked for all persons who planned to give testimony to stand, raise their right hand, and they were sworn in by Myeesha Ayala. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR APRIL 17, 2017 It was moved by Vice-Chairwoman Arnold and seconded by Board Member Powers to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried 3-3. Board Member McCarthy, Board Member Hamilton and Chairman Thompson abstained, they were not present at the April 17, 2017 hearing. CASE NO. 7868-01-17: 339-345 DAISY AVENUE: NED BASSIN, OWNER, CE CASE NO CEPH233123 & CEPH233238, COUNCIL DIST.1 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear before the Board and Ned Bassin, 7950 Cramer Street, Long Beach, CA 90808, owner, appeared before the Board. CEGC238957, COUNCIL DIST. 6 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE Chairman Thompson called for the owner or represenative to appear before the Board and Michael Robinson, 12400 Montecito Rd. #401, Seal Beach, CA 90740, owner, appeared before the Board. It was moved by Board Member Whitehead and seconded by Boad Member Hamilton that the appellant is the Responsible Person for the cited violations at the property located at 816 E. 19th Street. Based upon the foregoing, the appeal is hereby denied.
