OCEAN BOULEVARD APPEALS AND QUEEN MARY CONFERENCE ROOM, 1:30 PM CONDEMNATION MINUTES MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Chairman called the meeting to order at 1:43 p.m. ROLL CALL Commissioners Steve Gerdes, Michael Hamilton, Ethel Powers, Charles Present: Whitehead, Eric Witten, Diane L. Arnold and Jim Thompson FLAG SALUTE Myeesha Ayala lead us in the Flag Salute. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Karl Wiegelman had no items for the Board. MINUTES 1 Recommendation to approve the minutes of September 21, 2020 It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Board Member Whitehead to approve the minutes as submitted. CEMJ268666 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear on behalf of the case and Jeanine Stewart, 3553 Atlantic Ave #1216, Long Beach, CA 90807, owner, and Treyvon Grant 6406 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90805, tenant, both appeared on behalf of the case. It was moved by Board Member Hamilton and seconded by Board Member Witten that the appellant is the current owner and responsible party of the subject property located at 6406 Long Beach Blvd and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal was denied. The motion carried unanimously. 3 LBMC CHAPTER 18.78 & 18.79 It was moved by Chairman Thompson and seconded by Board Member Whitehead to approve the changes as submitted and present at the upcoming City Council meetings. PUBLIC COMMENTS It was suggested by Chairman Thompson to have a training on logging into WebEx meetings. NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING: NOVEMBER 2, 2020 ADJOURNMENT 4 Motion for Adjournment It was moved by Board Member Hamilton and seconded by Board Member Powers to adjourn the meeting at 2:52 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
