Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m.

Board Member Eric Witten lead us in the Flag Salute.
MINUTES
1 Recommendation to approve the minutes of December 7, 2020.
It was moved by Board Member Gerdes and seconded by Board Member
Powers to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried unanimously.

CONDEMNATION MINUTES
2 Recommendation to elect Chair for the Board of Examiners, Appeals
and Condemnation.
It was moved by Board Member Whitehead and seconded by Board Member
Powers to elect Mr. Eric Witten as the new Chairman of the Board of
Examiners, Appeals and Condemnation. The motion carried unanimously.
3 Recommendation to elect Vice-Chair for the Board of Examiners,
Appeals and Condemnation.
It was moved by Board Member Whitehead and seconded by Chairman
Thompson to elect Mr. Charles Whitehead as the Vice-Chairman of the Board
of Examiners, Appeals and Condemnation. The motion carried unanimously.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Karl Wiegelman introduced Hakim Chambers as our new member of the Board.
SWEARING OF WITNESSES
Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. 5232, asked for all persons who plan to give
testimony, to stand, raise their right hand and be sworn in by Myeesha Ayala.

4 CASE NO.7908-02-21: 5502 ORANGE AVENUE; DENNIS BRUYERE,
OWNER; CE CASE NO. CEAC269544
ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear on behalf
of the case and David Bruyere, 9507 E. Artesia Blvd., owner, appeared on
behalf of the case.
It was moved by Board Member Whitehead and seconded by Board Member
Powers to conclude that the appellant is the current owner and responsible
party of the subject property located at 5502 Orange Avenue and the violations
did exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal is denied. The motion

5 CASE NO. 7909-02-21: 5511 E. SPRING STREET; STACY WARINO
AND KRISTI WARINO, OWNERS; CE CASE NO. CEAC272285
ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE
Chairman Thompson called for the owner or representative to appear on behalf
of the case and Alan Gafford, the attorney representing the owner on behalf of
the case and Jill Warino, 5511 E. Spring Street, owner, appeared.
It was moved by Board Member Whitehead and seconded by Board Member
Gerdes to continue the case to the next scheduled hearing of March 8, 2021,
so the City can grant their requests to appeal for both the 1st and 3rd citation.
The motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Board Member Powers and seconded by Board Member
Whitehead to adjourn the meeting at 2:11 p.m. The motion carried
unanimously.
