Recommendation to approve the minutes of February 8, 2021. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Karl Wiegleman had nothing to report to the Board. REGULAR AGENDA 1 CASE NO.7910-03-21: 310 S. PINE AVENUE; STEPHANI LAM/ TOKYO WAKO LONG BEACH, BUSINESS OWNER; CE CASE NO. CEAC273108 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE Vice-Chairman Whitehead called for owner or representative to appear on behalf of the case and no person appeared. It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member Chambers to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current business owner/manager and responsible party of the subject property located at 310 S. Pine Avenue and the violations did exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal is denied. The motion carried unanimously. 2 CASE NO. 7911-03-21: 5300 E. 2ND STREET; ROO FRONTINO/ DOGZ BAR & GRILL, BUSINESS OWNER; CE CASE NO. CEAC273649 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE Vice-Chairman Whitehead called for the owner or representative to appear on behalf of the case and Alex Cherin, business owner's Attorney, and Rod Frontino, business owner, both appeared on behalf of the case. It was moved by Vice-Chairman Whitehead and seconded by Board Member Thompson to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current business owner/manager and responsible party of the subject property located at 5300 E. 2nd Street and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. Staff explained the appellant contacted our office to request a continuance. It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Vice-Chairman Whitehead to continue the case to the next scheduled hearing of April 19, 2021. It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member Chambers to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current business owner/manager and responsible party of the subject property located at 3200 E. 59th Street and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. 8 CASE NO. 7909-02-21: 5511 E. SPRING STREET; STACY WARINO AND KRISTI WARINO, OWNERS; CE CASE NO. CEAC272285 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE Vice-Chairman Whitehead called for the business owner or representative to appear and Stacy Warino, Kristin Warino and their Attorney, Alan Gafford, appeared on behalf of the case. It was moved by Board Member Gerdes and seconded by Vice-Chairman Whitehead to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current business owner/manager and responsible party of the subject property located at 5511 E. Spring Street and the violations listed on the citation dated September 4, 2020 did exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal is hereby denied. The motion carried 4-1. Spring Street and the violations listed on the citation dated January 5, 2021 did not exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal is hereby granted. The motion carried 4-1. Board Member Thompson abstained. It was moved by Board Member Chambers and seconded by Board Member Gerdes to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current business owner/manager and responsible party of the subject property located at 5511 E. Spring Street and the violations listed on the citation dated January 12, 2021 did exist on the date the citation was issued. The appeal is hereby denied. The motion carried 4-1. Board Member Thompson abstained.
