At 2:32 p.m., Chairman Turpin called the meeting to order via teleconference.

Commissioner Mac Rae, to convene an Ad Hoc committee of
the Marine Advisory Commission, to study the proposal
impacts on the boating community. The motion carried by the
following vote:

Manager's Comments
Elvira Hallinan, Manager, Marinas and Beaches, provided an update on the
following topics:
● Capital Projects
● Develop a Capital Projects Committee
● Boatowners survey
Marine Operations
Todd Leland, Superintendent, Marine Operations, reviewed the following
topics:
● Industry trends.
● Marine Safety - Removed a shopping cart from the water in Naples
Canal.

Todd Leland spoke.
Marine Maintenance
Eric Woodson, Superintendent, Marine Maintenance, reviewed the pony
gates installation in basin 2.
Commissioner Marino thanked Eric Woodson and his staff for graffiti
removal.
Beach Maintenance
Cory Forrester, Superintendent, Beach Maintenance provided an update
on sand raking and the build-out on lifeguard headquarters.
Commissioner Mac Rae offered his appreciation for the maintenance work
that is being completed by the Marine Bureau.

James Smigla, Sergeant, LBPD/Marine Patrol reviewed the following:
● Officer Sanchez began patrol in January 2021.
● Four Officers are attending bike patrol school.
● Stolen RV at south shore launch ramp. Vehicle has been recovered.
● Boathouse Lane - East PD is patrolling.
A motion was made by Commissioner Mac Rae, seconded by
Vice Chair Mayes, to receive and file. The motion carried by
the following vote:

Commissioner Kelly reviewed the following:
• Improvements made on the bike path.
• New Granada playground
• Vendor/Concessions
• Belmont Pier - Capital Improvements, Community meeting
PUBLIC COMMENT
Dave Booker thanked MAC and the Marine Bureau .
Brian McGinnis thanked the Marine Bureau for the focus of clean water in the bay, and is
concerned on the future water quality once AES shuts down their pumps.
Commissioner Marino thanked Elvira Hallinan for the article regarding the trees at ABM in

the recent Marina Reader.
Gabriela Yates mentioned the Belmont Pier community meeting is scheduled for Thursday,
