CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Witten called the meeting to order at 1:38 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Secretary Myeesha Ayala conducted roll call. Board Member Gerdes was excused absent.
FLAG SALUTE
Board Member Ethel Powers led us in the flag salute.
MINUTES
1 Recommendation to approve the Minutes of April 19, 2021.
It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member
Chambers to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried
unanimously.

DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Bureau Manager, Karl Wiegelman did not have a director's report to present at this time.
SWEARING OF WITNESSES
Chairman Witten referred to Ordinance No. 5232. Secretary Myeesha Ayala asked for all
persons who plan to give testimony, to stand, raise their right hand and be sworn in.

2 CASE NO. 7918-05-21: 5840 BRAYTON AVE; DOUG SPAHR,
OWNER; CE CASE NO. CEGC274519
ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION CASE
Chairman Witten called for the owner or representative to appear on behalf of
the case and Doug Spahr, 537 S. Maria Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90277,
Owner, appeared on behalf of the case.
It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member
Chambers to conclude the hearing, determine that the cited party is the current
owner and responsible party of the subject property located at 5840 Brayton
Ave., Long Beach, CA, and the violations listed did exist on the date the
citation was issued. The appeal is hereby denied. The motion carried
unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Board Member Chambers commented on the response and availability of the records requested
by the owner. Board Member Thompson respond and explained that all of the records Mr. Spahr
was seeking, are available on the City's website.

3 Motion for Adjournment.
It was moved by Board Member Thompson and seconded by Board Member
Whitehead to adjourn the meeting at 2:15 p.m. The motion carried
unanimously.
