17-021CH Recommendation to receive and file the Cultural Heritage
Commission minutes of June 12, 2017.
A motion was made by Vice Chair Highberger, seconded by
Commissioner Carmack, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 6 - Louise Ivers, Jan Robert van Dijs, Julianna Roosevelt, Alan
Burks, Craig Smith and Karen L. Highberger

A motion was made by Commissioner Smith, seconded by
Commissioner van Dijs, to approve recommendation with the
amendment to replace the shingle finish on the fireplace with
stonework to match the existing porch. The motion carried by
the following vote:
Yes: 7 - Shannon Carmack, Louise Ivers, Jan Robert van Dijs,
Julianna Roosevelt, Alan Burks, Craig Smith and Karen L.

2 17-022CH Recommendation to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness
request for the modification of the front façade to include the
widening of an existing porte-cochere, new concrete steps with
decorative tile, and new wood windows to an existing one-story
single-family residence with a detached two-car garage located at
3615 Cerritos Avenue. The project will also inlcude a
59-square-foot addition to the side of the house and a
49-square-foot addition to the rear of the house. The property is a
Contributing Structure within the California Heights Historic District.
