REGULAR AGENDA (4:41 PM) 1. 14-0593 Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California Regular Meeting held Tuesday, July 8, 2014. A motion was made by Commissioner Uranga, seconded by Commissioner Price, to approve recommendation. (Citywide) Darnisa Tyler, Deputy Executive Director, presented the staff report. Commissioner Austin spoke. Darnisa Tyler, Deputy Executive Director, spoke. A dialogue ensued between Commissioner Austin and Darnisa Tyler, Deputy Executive Director. Commissioner Andrews joined the meeting. Commissioner Andrews spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Mungo, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7 - Price, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer and Lowenthal Absent: 3 - Gonzalez, O'Donnell and Richardson 3. 14-0596 Recommendation to elect officers of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach. Amy Webber, Deputy City Attorney, spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Mungo, seconded by Commissioner Uranga, to approve recommendation and elect Vice Chair Lowenthal as Chair of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7 - Price, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer and Lowenthal Absent: 3 - Gonzalez, O'Donnell and Richardson A motion was made by Commissioner Mungo, seconded by Vice Chair Lowenthal, to approve recommendation and elect Commissioner Andrews as Vice Chair of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California.
