1. 17-1044 Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority of
the City of Long Beach, California Regular Meeting held Tuesday,
October 10, 2017.
A motion was made by Vice Chair Andrews, seconded by
Commissioner Pearce, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:

2. 17-1045 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial
and Operational Performance Report for August 2017. (Citywide)
A motion was made by Commissioner Mungo, seconded by
Commissioner Gonzalez, to approve recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 10 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Austin,
Hudson, Tanzer, Andrews and Richardson
Absent: 1 - Uranga
3. 17-1048 Recommendation to adopt Revised Standard Utility Allowance
Schedules; and
Adopt Revised Energy Efficiency-Based Utility Allowance Schedules
for New Construction Projects. (Citywide)
Councilmember Uranga joined the meeting.
Alison King, Deputy Executive Director, presented the staff report.
A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by
Commissioner Austin, to approve recommendation. The motion
carried by the following vote:

4. 17-1046 Recommendation to adopt resolution of the Housing Authority of the
City of Long Beach, California, approving a revised Voucher Payment
Standard Schedule for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher
Program, effective immediately, for all zip code areas in Long Beach.

Chair Richardson spoke.
A motion was made by Chair Richardson, seconded by
Commissioner Supernaw, to approve recommendation and
adopt Resolution No. H.A. 04-17. The motion carried by the
following vote:
Yes: 10 - Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Supernaw, Uranga, Austin,
Hudson, Tanzer, Andrews and Richardson
Absent: 1 - Mungo
Enactment No: H.A. 04-17
5. 17-1049 Recommendation to authorize Executive Director, or designee, to
release a Request for Proposals (RFP) advertising the availability of
Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) and solicit participation in the program
from interested property owners of affordable units; and
Authorize Executive Director, or designee, to negotiate and execute
agreement(s) to enter into Housing Assistance Payment contract(s) for
PBV assistance in accordance with Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) guidelines for qualified proposals submitted in response to this
RFP and also approved by HUD. (Citywide)
