APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. 14-001PR Recommendation to approve the Parks & Recreation Commission
Meeting minutes of December 12, 2013.
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
COMMISSION ACTION ITEMS
2. 14-002PR Recommendation to approve the fee waiver requests outlined in
Attachment “A” in accordance with the Fee Waiver policy.
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
3. 14-003PR Receive and file a report on Parks, Recreation and Marine, regarding
an initial start-up plan to establish Fitness Zones in 9th district
communities that have demonstrated need and limited resources, in
an effort to promote health, fitness and recreation.
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
4. 14-004PR Authorize the Director, or his or her management designee, to execute
a new Fitness Provider Permit and amend Attachment “A” of the
Permit as needed.

5. 14-005PR Authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute a
Right of Entry Permit with the Long Beach Unified School District and
its agents to implement improvements to the Baseball Diamond at
Houghton Park. (District 9)
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
6. 14-006PR Recommend City Council and/or Planning Commission approval of a
new Cellular Tower at Wardlow Park, pursuant to Section
21.56.140(B.) of the Long Beach Municipal Code; and recommend
City Council approval of a new Communications Site Lease with AT&T
Mobility for the operation of the aforementioned Cellular Tower at
Wardlow Park. (District 5)
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT TO COMMISSION
7. 14-007PR Recommendation to receive and file the Director's monthly highlights
report, "We Create Community" for January 2014.
Suggested Action: Approve recommendation.
