Big congratulations are in order for Director Marie Knight. Marie is the perfect example of what a true leader is all about. Her time here with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine has shown staff that no matter what bureau you may work for, everyone here is part of one big community. Marie always has a positive attitude and her strengths are found in her team building, motivation, initiative, and excellent organizational skills. Marie’s outgoing and friendly personality helped to create a pleasant environment to work in and she is held in high regard by her colleagues. Her contributions have been a great benefit to this organization and, undeniably, she will be deeply missed here. It is definitely our loss and Huntington Beach’s gain.
