OCEAN BOULEVARD SERVICE COMMITTEE COUNCIL CHAMBER, 4:30 PM MINUTES Gerrie Schipske, R.N.P./J.D., Chair Dee Andrews, Vice Chair Dr. Suja Lowenthal, Member FINISHED AGENDA & MINUTES CALL TO ORDER (4:36 PM) At 4:36 PM, Chair Schipske called the meeting to order. ROLL CALL (4:36 PM) Councilmembers Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Present: Also present: Charles Parkin, City Attorney; Megan Wiegelman, City Clerk Assistant. REGULAR AGENDA (4:36 PM) 1. 14-0226 Recommendation to approve the minutes for the Personnel and Civil Service Committee meeting held Tuesday, December 3, 2013. A motion was made by Member Lowenthal, seconded by Vice Chair Andrews, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal see media 2. 14-0227 Recommendation to receive Charter Commission appointments pursuant to Section 509 of the City Charter and Section 2.03.065 of the Long Beach Municipal Code. A motion was made by Vice Chair Andrews, seconded by Member Lowenthal, to approve recommendation and appoint Raul Añorve and David Clement to the Citizen Police Complaint Commission. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Chair Schipske spoke. Robin Perry, Civil Service Commission appointee, spoke. A motion was made by Vice Chair Andrews, seconded by Member Lowenthal, to approve recommendation and appoint Robin Perry to the Civil Service Commission. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Chair Schipske spoke. Robert Shannon, Water Commission appointee, spoke. Councilmember Lowenthal spoke. Vice Chair Andrews spoke. Robert Shannon, Water Commission appointee, spoke. A motion was made by Member Lowenthal, seconded by Vice Chair Andrews, to approve recommendation and appoint Robert Shannon to the Water Commission. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Chair Schipske spoke. Arthur Levine, Water Commission appointee, spoke.
