OCEAN BOULEVARD SERVICE COMMITTEE COUNCIL CHAMBER, 3:30 PM MINUTES Gerrie Schipske, R.N.P./J.D., Chair Dee Andrews, Vice Chair Dr. Suja Lowenthal, Member FINISHED AGENDA & MINUTES CALL TO ORDER (3:38 PM) At 3:38 PM, Chair Schipske called the meeting to order. ROLL CALL (3:38 PM) Councilmembers Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Present: Also present: Charles Parkin, City Attorney; Megan Wiegelman, City Clerk Assistant. REGULAR AGENDA (3:38 PM) 1. 14-0439 Recommendation to approve the minutes for the Personnel and Civil Service Committee meeting held Tuesday, March 18, 2014. A motion was made by Member Lowenthal, seconded by Vice Chair Andrews, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal 2. 14-0440 Recommendation to receive Charter Commission appointments and reappointments pursuant to Section 509 of the City Charter and Section 2.03.065 of the Long Beach Municipal Code. Chair Schipske provided opening comments. A motion was made by Vice Chair Andrews, seconded by Member Lowenthal, to approve recommendation and appoint Rick McGilton-McGlamery to the Civil Service Commission. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Councilmember Lowenthal spoke. Vice Chair Andrews spoke. A motion was made by Member Lowenthal, seconded by Vice Chair Andrews, to approve recommendation and appoint David Zanatta, Stacey Morrison, Rudolph Galindo, and Ron Sievers; and reappoint Ron Antonette and Benjamin Goldberg to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 3 - Schipske, Andrews and Lowenthal Chair Schipske spoke. A motion was made by Vice Chair Andrews, seconded by Member Lowenthal, to approve recommendation and reappoint John Allen to the Water Commission.
