Rondeau, MAA Deputy Chief Assessor MINUTES Amy Lombardo THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS Assessor LOWELL MA November 26, 2024 A meeting of the Board of Assessors took place on November 12, 2024 at 9:00 AM in Room 36 at Lowell City Hall: R. Rondeau called to order the meeting at 9:00 AM and went into a recess E. Brideau resumed the meeting at 11:50 AM In attendance: Chief Assessor; E. Brideau, Deputy Chief Assessor; R. Rondeau, A. Lombardo; Assessor, C. Hughes; Assessor 1. Review of minutes from October 29, 2024 meeting – R. Rondeau made a motion to approve the minutes, A. Lombardo 2nd 2. Applications for MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE TAX ABATEMENTS (supporting documentation attached to each application)  Motor Vehicle Excise Abatements o Week of October 21 to October 25 – Approved by signatures o Week of October 28 to November 01 – Approved by signatures 3. FY25 Interim – the Board of Assessors is ready for the hearing tonight 4. Statutory Exemptions – Clause 17E: 1 application, Clause 22: 3 applications, 1 Senior Volunteer application – E. Brideau made a motion to approve these applications, A. Lombardo 2nd  2 clause 41C and 5 clause 17E application were denied by signatures 5. Old Business – City Council voted to accept the Hero Act 6. New Business – not anticipated within 48 hours: ATB case settlement for 50 Hildreth St – R. Rondeau made a motion to approve the settlement, A. Lombardo 2nd Motion to adjourn at 12:02 PM E. Brideau, R. Rondeau 2nd – Unanimous.
