Rourke Item 1 – BOARD NEEDS TO VOTE: Approval for LYSA to release the following dates in items 2A and 2B from their permits at Scullin Park – Greenspace and Reilly School – Field. They are releasing the following dates to accommodate the LPD/Recreation youth flag football program request below (item 2A-D). Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the release of dates. Motion was seconded by Ryan Rourke. Item 3 – Tara Perry – Craft Fair Fort Hill Park – Greenspace Saturday, October 07, 2023 9am-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 4 = $100 - Account Credit of $100 to be applied Total Fee = $0 Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for no fee. Page | 1 Item 4 – Aisha Nieves (Lowell Community Charter Public School) - Girls on the Run Practices Shedd Park – Pavilion (GREENSPACE NEXT TO THE PAVILION) September 19, 2023 – November 16, 2023 (Tuesdays & Thursdays) 3:30pm-5:30pm Resident Youth Fee $0.00/2hr block = $0 A CUSTODIAN SHOULD BE ON SITE UNTIL 6:00PM. This request is for the Lowell Community Charter Public School. This will be the second year in a row that LCCPS participates in GOTR. This request will help support the Girls on the Run team ensuring they have a spacious, off campus, and safe environment for practices every week this Fall Season for eight weeks. Item 5 – Robert Hunt (Friends of Tyler Park) – Community Event Tyler Park – Greenspace Sunday, September 10, 2023 10am-2pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 (Reduced Fee to $0) Friends of Tyler Park are sponsoring Mill City Grows and vendors in the park. There is no charge to vendors or Mill City Grows. This is a free community event. The Board discussed waiving the fee since this is a community event. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for no fee. Motion was seconded by Ryan Rourke. Item 6 – Shirley Ciccolo (Lowell Catholic) – Walk-A-Thon Callery Park – Zabbo Little League Field Callery Park – John J Barrett Field Friday, October 20, 2023 9am-11am Resident Youth Fee $0.00/2hr block = $0 Students in Preschool through 4th grade will not be walking the neighborhood, but they will walk around the field and play at the park for LC's annual Walkathon. They will be separated by grade and will walk for approximately 20 minutes each and play games. They will not need the park’s bathroom facilities. Item 7 – Heather Deprofio – Girl Scouts Meet and Greet Shedd Park – Pavilion Sunday, September 17, 2023 1pm-5pm Resident Youth Fee $0.00/2hr block = $0 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120 Total Fee = $120 The Girl Scouts of Lowell would like to host an event where they can welcome current Girl Scout members in Lowell and potential new members to come to learn about Girl Scouting and try some activities as well. Item 8 – Shaniece Cola – 1st Birthday Party Shedd Park – Pavilion Sunday, September 10, 2023 12pm-4pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120 Total Fee = $170 THIS ITEM WILL BE BACK-TO-BACK WITH A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PERMIT. Page | 2 Item 9 – Delphine Kouadio (Lowell Church of Christ) – Evangelization Tyler Park – Greenspace Saturday, September 02, 2023 1pm-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 Jean Michel Mossio represented. They will be preaching the gospel of the Lord and will need electricity for their instruments. They will have music and snacks. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for a fee of $50. Item 10 – Crystal Mccormick – 6th Birthday Party Shedd Park – Pavilion Saturday, October 14, 2023 1pm-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120 Total Fee = $170 Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for a fee of $170. Item 11 – Louis Cobuccio (Over Thirty Baseball Inc.) – Adult Baseball Cawley Stadium Memorial Complex – Alumni Field Wednesday, September 20, 2023 7pm-11pm Resident Adult Fee $150.00/4hr block = $150 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120 (Reduced Fee to $60) Lights Fee $50.00/4 hour = $50 Total Fee = $320 (Reduced Fee to $260) A CUSTODIAN SHOULD BE ON SITE UNTIL 10:00PM. Over Thirty Baseball has a night league, that plays their games at Campbell field all year. The NOTB would like to play their championship game this year at Alumni. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for a reduced fee of $260. Motion was seconded by Ryan Rourke. Item 12 – James O’Keefe (UTEC) – Community Skate Event Hadley Park – John M. Delehanty Skate Park Friday, September 01, 2023 12pm-6pm Resident Youth Fee $0.00/2hr block = $0 This will be a free event for the youth. This event was previously combined with another event but needed to be pushed back for other circumstances. They will be giving away the rest of their backpacks and school supplies, grilling, have music and play games. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for no fee. Item 13 – Michael Isola (Mill City Eagles) – Adult Flag Football Playoff Games A) BOARD NEEDS TO VOTE: Mike has a previously approved permit for Saturday, September 09, 2023 from 5-10pm at Cawley Stadium. The permit fee was $320. Mike is requesting to amend the date/time to the following request (item B), the fee should remain the same.
