MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 6:01PM by Chairman J. Linnehan
Item 1 – BOARD NEEDS TO VOTE: To approve minutes from August Board of Parks meeting.
Motion was made by Tom Caunter to approve the minutes from the August BOP meeting.
Motion was seconded by Kah Ndi. Approved Unanimously.
Item 2 – Kayla Balamotis (MVFFL) – MVFFL Tournament for Ovarian Cancer
Koumantzelis Park – Koumantzelis Multipurpose Field
Saturday, October 21, 2023 9am-3pm
Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 3 = $75
The requestor did not show so the request was DENIED.
Item 3 – Stephanie Rondeau – Gender Reveal
Shedd Park – Pavilion
Sunday, October 22, 2023 12pm-4pm
Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50
Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120
Total Fee = $170

Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 4 = $100
Custodial Fee $120/4 hour X 2 = $240
Total Fee = $340
Tareena Pagan represented this request. There will be music, and youth and craft vendors.
Motion was made by Ryan Rourke to approve the request for a fee of $340.
Motion was seconded by Tom Caunter. Approved Unanimously.

Item 5 – Patricia Coffey – Requesting Account Credit
Patty had an event scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5-9p at Shedd Park Pickle Ball
Courts (without a rain date). They paid $100.00 for their first permit and canceled due to the weather with
enough notice. They resubmitted a new request for Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5-9p, but due to it
being before the next BOP meeting to receive their credit, they needed to pay an additional $100 for the
second permit ($200 in total). They are requesting $100 account credit back to put towards the use of a
future permit.
Motion was made by Ryan Rourke to approve issuing account credit for $100.
Motion was seconded by Tom Caunter. Approved Unanimously.
Item 6 – Nasreen Hosein – Birthday Party
Shedd Park – Pavilion
Sunday, October 15, 2023 9am-1pm
Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50
Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120
Total Fee = $170
The requestor did not show so the request was DENIED.
Item 7 – Hetal Patel – Requesting Fee Waiver
In January, Hetal received a permit for 35 dates at Hovey Field to play cricket. The permit fee was $50 per
day, totaling to $1,750 ($1,700 after using their $50 credit from last season). Due to weather and multiple
tournaments causing schedule changes, they did not use the field and are requesting a fee waiver for the
following dates:

The total amount they are requesting to have waived from their account is $1,300 (26 unused dates X $50
per date = $1,300). They would still have a balance of $400 that needs to be paid for the nine dates they did
use the field for.
The Board will only address dates that were unused due to weather. This item has been tabled for
next month until those dates are confirmed.
Item 8 – Jose Hernandez (Fundamental Flag Football) – Extending Current Flag Football Permit
O’Donnell Park – Frank Ryan Senior League Baseball Field
October 12 – November 30, 2023 5pm-11pm
Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 3 = $75 per date X 8 dates = $600
Motion was made by Tom Caunter to approve the request for a fee of $600.
Motion was seconded by Keith Rudy. Approved Unanimously.
